Facts you didn't know about Mac

It's no secret, I am a massive Mac junkie and I have been for the past 10 years. Here's 10 facts that have me in ore of the company even more...if that was possible!

1. Mineralize Skin Finish is made in an old chocolate factory in Italy and takes 72 hours to make!

2. Blanc Type, Handwritten, Copperplate and Fig1 (plus more) were all released together in 2007 as part of a Matte Collection. Can you see the theme?

3. Fluidline's contain both vitamin A and E

4. The Mac pencil sharpeners act as a protection for the pencils. They're made solely for Mac as some of the pencil products have a thin coat of PVC around them to help the product have a creamy "non-drag" texture. Using a non-Mac sharpener can ruin the product as the blade is set right like in the Mac one. Therefore the product can easily dry out as the PVC coating is removed. This is relevant for the pro-longwear lip liners as well as more.

5. Another cleverly named product is Omega eye shadow. Omega is the 24th and last letter in the Greek Alphabet and means "great-o". With Omega being such a versatile product, this is the perfect name don't you think?

6. Lady Danger lipstick is 15 years old this year (2000 launch)

7. Glaze Lipsticks are 100% Vegan

8. Madonna's 90's red lip was always Russian Red. Did you know that red in Russian means beautiful? Coinkidink?

9. Whirl lip liner was first released in 2004 alongside Fresh brew and High Tea lipsticks. The collection was named High Tea and themed around...well Tea! The name Whirl came from the motion that tea cup rides do...they whirl!

10. Viva Glam was first launched in 1994 with Drag Queen superstar RuPaul as the face. Since the launch Mac have raised $365,000,000 for the Mac Aids Fund. Incredible!
