Lush Empties

As a blogger, it's almost obligatory to do a Lush post once in a while. I do love Lush, however I am careful as to what I buy because well...I hate wasting money. Here's the empty containers of what I've used, and loved plus a small review on each.

Mask Of Magnaminty
A Minty face mask full of goodness to help combat oil, problem skin and blackheads. This tingly, sweet mint smelling mask clears the skin of all impurities, leaving a smooth blemish free face. It contains aduki beans to softly exfoliate and scrub away dead skin when removing.

Angels on Bare Skin
A soft, calming cleanser that smells like lavender on a summer's day. Angels calms the skin, helping with redness as well as blemishes, the kaolin in this cleanser helps to absorb grease and dirt but doesn't leave your skin feeling tight or "squeaky clean". I love this cleanser, and I actually have 3 empty tubs but I didn't see the point in photographing all three.

Oatifix
Oatifix is a hydrating and exfoliating mask that smells like flapjacks. The fresh bananas in this face mask helps with hydration as well as packing in all of the needed vitamins and minerals needed to help dry skin sufferers. With Oatifix being packed full of ground almonds, the removal of the mask scrubs away dead skin cells leaving your skin super soft and smelling wonderful.

Ocean Salt
Another facial product to help removing not just dead skin but impurities that can cause spots and blackheads. As the name suggests, this is brimming with salt to scrub away those sins, the vodka & lime helps refresh and wake up the skin. It can also be used anywhere else on the body to banish nasty scaly skin.

Snow Fairy
Sweetest smelling shower gel ever created. Lathering this all over your body leaves you smelling somewhere between a pear drop and candy floss. With this being limited edition and only available around Christmas, it is for me a treat and a very luxurious one at that! I love the soft formula, and the iridescent glitter running throughout this candy pink shower gel. Definitely one for those that enjoy sweet smells and well...fairies!

Soon I will be cashing these empty products in for a free fresh face mask. Any suggestions?

Mask of Magnaminty

Hello beautiful people

"Don't ever let anyone take away your sparkle"

I've been banging on about this face mask for weeks now and I thought it was about time that I plowed my thoughts into a review!

Mask of Magnaminty was created mainly for those whom suffer from acne on the face and back. They wanted to make something that could be used to help problem skin no matter how out of reach it is!

As you can probably guess by the name it smells minty and contains mint (peppermint oil to be precise). This face mask also contains honey, ground aduki beans and evening primrose seeds.

I chose to purchase this after seeing the beautiful Jeffree Star use it in one of his Instagram videos, he claimed it kept him blemish free so I knew I had to try this for myself!

The lovely lady in Lush Birmingham explained that there were two types, the original and the self preserving one. To explain it quickly the self preserving version has more nourishing ingredients so it's better for people with dry skin.

This product is amazing, like honestly amazing. I love Lush face masks but this one is by far the best because it offers so much. It nourishes my dry skin and cleans up my pores at the same time!
I also use it when I have a spot directly on it and sleep with it on, after doing this for 2 nights even the biggest of spots are gone!

Mask of Magnaminty is £9.75 for 315g

What is your favourite lush face mask?

lots of love

September Faves

Hello beautiful people

"These are a few of my favorite things"

I can't believe that it's October already, this year has flown and soon it'll be Christmas!
As always there's been some things that have really stood out for my over the last month and I'm here to share them with you.

I apologise in advance to your bank accounts!

My first fave of September is Dior's Star foundation, it's hands down the best foundation I have ever used and I will be doing a full review on this soon!

My second fave of the month has got to be Lush's Mask of Magnaminty Self Preserving face mask. Firstly the smell is divine and secondly it works a treat, I've had a bit of a breakout this month and I've not just used this all over my face but as a daily spot treatment. The mint has helped bring out some spots and calm the redness too which is always helpful cos who wants gross spots? NOT ME

Bit of a strange one to involve I think but I'm dying over how much I am in love with Weleda's Creamy Lavender body wash. It smells incredible and it's super gentle on my sensitive skin!

Last but not least I have fallen back in love with Ardell's 120 Demi Lashes! For someone who likes to wear lashes in the daytime they give the right amount of length and drama without being too much, but then they still work for evenings out too! I would probably choose something slightly more dramatic for a night out though.

What are your fave things this month?

lots of love
