The Best Of 2014

2014 has brought some great things, in fact it's brought some absolutely fantastic things. Lets take a peak into my favourite purchases of 2014.

Firstly it really does have to be the Lime Crime Velvetines in Wicked & Red Velvet. Lime Crime do lots of other shades but with my current hair colour these are the two that work best for me!

Dior brought out the best foundation of the year for sure in the form of Star. I not only look like a movie star when wearing this but I feel like one too!

How can I leave out Garnier's Micellar Water? I just can't! It's a fab makeup remover, and cleanses the skin beautifully. Love love love this bargain skincare product.

My mascara of the year has to be Urban Decay's Perversion, but a close second is deffo Makeup Revolution's Viper. 

I go through so many lipbalms a year, but since mid summer I have not been able to put down my EOS Balm's. They've kept my lips super duper smooth!

Mac's Diamonds Cream Colour Base has been my go to cream highlighter this year, even though it's limited edition and I don't want it to run out; I can't stop using it!

In December I discovered the Makeup Revolution Contour Palette in All About Bronze. It's simply delicious and I can't get enough of using it on a daily basis.

Billion Dollar Brows have 2 items that I have loved, the Brow Gel and Brow Boost! The Brow Boost has well, boosted my brows and the Brow Gel has transformed my brows into well groomed beauts.

Hello December, my oh my how I've been waiting for you all year! I love the cold weather and festive spirit everyone is in :)

I actually found it quite hard to narrow my favourites down this month as I've been love love loving SO much. 

In the end I picked 4 products which I bloody love.

When I went to Fabb Events in Birmingham I was kindly gifted the Vanilla & Honey lip balm by Bee Good, and ever since I haven't been able to put this sucker down. I've been mainly using it as an over night lip treatment as it is quite greasy. The smell is divine and it doesn't have that nasty artificial taste a lot of lip balms do. 

Deffo a winner winner chicken dinner for me!

Next I've got Salt Of The Earth's Vanilla & Lavender Natural Deodorant. Okay so you might think this is a weird thing to include but I have to spread the word of how good this is for a natural deodorant. It keeps me smelling fresh all day and is completely harm free too! The lavender also helps to take away any redness from shaving, bonus points!!

You've probably seen my raving post on the Hyaluronan Facial Serum, so I won't bore you too much with the ins and outs instead you can read about it here :) It's super hydrating and luverly on my sensitive dry dry dry skin.

Last on the beauty product list is Makeup Revolutions Fix & Focus Eye Primer that has taken me by surprise, it's ever so good and gentle on le eyes. I've stopped using Mac's Paint Pot in Painterly and replaced it with this...which says something!!

My TV Programme of the month has to be Gossip Girl, I cannot get enough! I've started watching them all again because I didn't manage to get past series 3 first time around.

And because I am a massive lover of music I have to include an album I can't turn off, that album is My Everything by Ariana Grande. Not someone who i'd usually listen to but I slapped this album on my spotify & I can't stop listening!

I love the songs Love Me Harder, Break Your Heart Right Back & Bang Bang.

"These are a few of my favorite things"

I can't believe that it's October already, this year has flown and soon it'll be Christmas!

As always there's been some things that have really stood out for my over the last month and I'm here to share them with you.

I apologise in advance to your bank accounts!

My first fave of September is Dior's Star foundation, it's hands down the best foundation I have ever used and I will be doing a full review on this soon!

My second fave of the month has got to be Lush's Mask of Magnaminty Self Preserving face mask. Firstly the smell is divine and secondly it works a treat, I've had a bit of a breakout this month and I've not just used this all over my face but as a daily spot treatment. The mint has helped bring out some spots and calm the redness too which is always helpful cos who wants gross spots? NOT ME

Bit of a strange one to involve I think but I'm dying over how much I am in love with Weleda's Creamy Lavender body wash. It smells incredible and it's super gentle on my sensitive skin!

Last but not least I have fallen back in love with Ardell's 120 Demi Lashes! For someone who likes to wear lashes in the daytime they give the right amount of length and drama without being too much, but then they still work for evenings out too! I would probably choose something slightly more dramatic for a night out though.

Holy Mother of Glob where has this month/year/life gone? I mean hello slow down I don't want my wrinkles just yet.

Anyway, enough moaning and complaining about the speed of life and onto this months faves!
Lets start off with something beauty related because that's gonna shock you into next week right?

Ladies and Gentlemen lets give it up for Duo eyelash glue (this is the part where you stand and applaud okay?). I'm sorry but where the hell have I been? This stuff is what I've needed for a very long time. I've been scraping out the remains of an Urban Decay lash glue that I've had for too long, obviously hygienic as hell...I know right.


On the beauty theme we've got another lash fave in the form of MAC's 48 lashes. Oh my well aren't these just delightfully delicious *swoon*. Yeah so I'm going to need a million pairs just to get me through each month.
BUT I've found out something super exciting and that is that MAC lash boxes count as empties towards back2mac, this is just awesome news.


Another thing I'm loving is my new hair :) I've gone a mature (who am I kidding?!) shade of red with a hint of plum and pale pinky/red/blonde ends. Personally I think it's a perfect colour for me and I've had a good cut to freshen my ends up too!!!

And just because I like to mix an odd thing into my monthly favourites I'm going to include a song of the month which for this month is Chris Brown's - Loyal, obvs the naughty rude rude version because I'm a bad ass chick and that (not). I know I'm a late comer to this song but that's the way I like it!!
